Dertee upbeat about new single
Recording artiste Dertee is bringing something new to the table with his latest single, ' Dat A Dat', which was officially released on February 10.
"The song is really about a rich lifestyle and it's a slang that's frequently used, so everyone in the street can relate," the artiste explained.
"The feedback has been crazy. Everyone seems to love this song and I can guarantee, you will love it if you listen to it. The support for my music in general has been great, especially the fans and mainstream DJs such as Ras Kwami from Capital Xtra, Seani B from BBC 1xtra, and DJ Davda from Kiss Fresh" he added.
Born in Jamaica, Dertee has been living in the UK since he was 13. In the professional music game for the past nine years, the artiste has been making his mark on the UK scene and is now ready to extend his brand to Jamaica.
"I have a unique sound, plus I can mix what's hot in the UK and also what's hot in Jamaica. When I blend both sounds, I'm able to create something special, integrating various genres such as UK drill, Afrobeat and dancehall," the artiste said.
With past releases such as Realist and Money Scheme, he said that a new album is in the works.
"In the next couple of years, my name will be ringing bells. I'm here to make a major impact on reggae and dancehall music worldwide, and [I will] let people fall in love with our musical culture all over again," the artiste said.
