The anxiously anticipated second staging of SOCA+ is being described as a 12-hour "festival feting marathon", featuring multi-genre live performances, high-energy DJs, cooler vibes, complimentary cocktail and breakfast, plus luxury cabanas and celebrity cameos.

Powered by I LOVE Soca Jamaica, SOCA+ will take place on Saturday, September 30, at Sabina Park in Kingston from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. on October 1.

"SOCA+ is every feter's fantasy; it has all the elements of our favourite events. We celebrate 12 years since the first staging of I LOVE Soca by partying non-stop for 12 hours with DJs from Africa, North America, Jamaica and the Caribbean. We rave with three big performances from Destra (Trinidad and Tobago), Aidonia (Jamaica) and Skinny Fabulous (St Vincent and the Grenadines), then we cool down in our SOCA+ water segment and we recharge with complimentary breakfast at 7 a.m.," said Andrew Bellamy, managing director of I LOVE Soca Cooler Festival.

Patrons are allowed to bring their coolers with their choice of beverages from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. as the "cooler vibes" is at the core of the SOCA+ experience. Folding chairs and beach towels are also permitted. The live performances are scheduled for 2 a.m., 4 a.m., and 6 a.m., respectively, with the usual expectation of stage surprises and celebrity cameos. For the entirety of the event, the food village will be opened, with a variety of culinary delights on sale. Hydration stations will be also be available throughout the venue.

"Amid all the festivities, the scale of production and entertainment value of this undertaking are paramount to the I LOVE Soca team. The artisans involved in the build out of the elements that our creative team have conceptualized; the musical genius from the DJs who are billed for the show, and the seamless execution that we are known for is how we play our part in reimagining the local entertainment industry in this post-COVID era," continued Bellamy.

He also noted that the stadium stands will also be available for "SOCA+ rest". He also recommended that patrons bring sunscreen and sunglasses for the sunrise on October 1.
