11 COVID deaths, 74 new cases
Jamaica on Wednesday recorded 11 COVID-19 fatalities, increasing the tally to 1,023.
Nine of the deceased are from the parish of St James and were previously under investigation, they include six men aged 84, 84, 80, 77, 68 and 60, and three women aged 74, 69 and 20.
The other deceased are: a 72-year-old man from St Ann and a 53-year-old from St Mary.
Meanwhile, there were 74 new cases with ages ranging from seven years to 95 years, pushing the total to 49,503 with 19,928 being active.
Of the new cases, 38 are men and 36 are women.
A total of 2,292 tests were conducted.
The country's positivity rate stands at 10%.
In the meantime, there were 128 more recoveries, increasing the total to 28,128.
Some 126 persons are in hospital with 18 being moderately ill and 10 critically ill.
