Cleaner calls cops after spotting man allegedly stealing

A daylight housebreaking on Oxford Terrace ended quickly on Monday when a man was caught red handed lowering a container through a broken window, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges.

Forty two year old Gregor Wright of Banana Ground district, Manchester, has been charged with housebreaking and larceny from an office and malicious destruction of property following the incident on Monday, January 12.

Reports from the Half-Way-Tree police are that about 2:15 p.m., a man who was cleaning the facility noticed Wright lowering a five gallon jug through a damaged window. The police were immediately alerted and Wright was apprehended.

Investigations later revealed that Wright had stolen four gallons of oil valued at $4000.

He was taken into custody and later charged following a question and answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
