Cole signs with Nike

Edwin Allen High School's outstanding sprinter Serena Cole is now a professional athlete after signing recently with Nike.

Cole, who captured the 100 metres silver medal at last year's World Under-20 Championships in Cali, Colombia, will be based at MVP Track Club, where she will be conditioned by renowned coach Stephen Francis.

According to head coach of Edwin Allen High, Michael Dyke, Cole has already taken residence at MVP, where Francis will continue her preparation for the upcoming season.

"I wish Serena all the best, and joining up with former teammates Tia and Tina Clayton is a positive move, and I am very confident that she will fit into that group easily, as it will be like familiar territory for her," said Dyke in an interview with STAR Sports.
