My man doesn’t have time for me

April 05, 2019

Dear Pastor,

I am a 19-year-old Christian. I have been reading your column from I was 15 years old. My grandma would buy THE STAR, and I would hide and take your page out of it and read it.

But, nevertheless, I am a little confused about my relationship that I am in now. I am dating a 30-year-old man. We started to date from I was in second form. He is really a nice guy.

He always tells me about God and my schoolwork.

He stopped talking to me when I was in fourth form. We never had sex, but I have left school now and I am working.

We started to talk as friends until he told me that he wanted us to be back together. Yes, I accepted him, and now we have been dating again for the past two months.

He allowed me to meet his parents and they love me, but he is working and doesn't have much time for me.

That makes me feel that he is cheating on me. I just need you to tell me what I should do.

J.W.

Dear J.W.,

You should not accuse this man of cheating. You have no proof that he is doing so. What I would suggest that you do is that both of you should have a talk, and you should tell him that you would like him to arrange his schedule so that both of you could spend more time with each other.
