Rain postpones U-20 Girlz match

Jamaica's young Reggae Girlz failed to get their campaign in the Concacaf Under-20 Women's Championship going yesterday after their opening match against Canada at the Estadio Felix Sanchez was postponed because of inclement weather in the Dominican Republic.

Scheduled to start at 3 p.m., the match was delayed for three hours because of a waterlogged field from heavy rain before a decision was taken to postpone the fixture, along with the second game of the double-header between the United States of America (USA) and Panama.

According to Concacaf, a new schedule should be expected.
