Hamilton confident of a Cavalier win

Cavalier forward Nicholas Hamilton is highly optimistic heading into today's Scotiabank Concacaf Caribbean Club Championships game against Moca of the Dominican Republic at Sabina Park at 7 p.m.
Hamilton, who represented Cavalier for six seasons before departing in 2020, played his first game on his return in their 2-1 win over AC Port of Spain on the last match day, three weeks ago.
The 27-year-old Hamilton believes that despite being young, Cavalier's players have shown their quality and character. He is anticipating another positive result at the end of today's encounter.
"It is a very young team, but this group has been together three years. In 2021 they won the league; in 2022 they finished third; and last season, third. These players have been in big games, so this competition gives them more experience and lets them know that as a team, we can do it. That is what I am here for, to use my experience to guide the younger players and help the team get over the line," he said.
Moca are yet to taste defeat, winning their only game against AC Port of Spain, and Hamilton knows they will be no pushover, but he is confident in Cavalier's ability to win the match.
"We will be up against a good team. They have done well so far in the competition, but we are going all out, and we will get the win, and I am very confident in the team," Hamilton said.
He added that playing in the competition will fulfil a long-standing desire, which motivates him highly for today's encounter.
"I have always wanted to play in this competition, and now that I am getting the chance to do it, I am really motivated. This is a big game for us. We must go out as a team and listen to the coaches' instructions. I know we will pull this off as a team because we have good players," Hamilton said.
