Av&nte tackles social issues with music
Reggae crooner Av&nte is taking on social issues in an impactful way with the heavy-hitting track, 'Who Feels It Knows'.
Released in November 2018, the track was produced by Deadline Recordz.
The official music video is yet to be released. However, the enticing, animated lyric video has been racking up quite a bit of traction on the singer's YouTube page.
"The feedback has been really positive so far. I really believe that this track will open doors for me," he said. The reggae one-drop track highlights the resilience of people who deal with various struggles that affect their everyday lives.
"My music is relevant to the growth of my culture, sometimes based on topics related to deep social commentaries," he said.
It was the inspiration from his own life experiences that encouraged him to write the track in the first place.
"I've always been judged. You can do 100 good things but as soon as you do something outside of that, people see you differently. I went through a whole lot with regard to that, but I believe that I can make it despite those circumstances - I just channel that energy into my music," he stated.
Represented by Ireland Records, the versatile entertainer ensures he represents 100 per cent as a Jamaican through all aspects of his musical style.
While he has been doing music for some time now, his professional pursuit of the art officially started in 2016.
Since then, he has released The Struggle, Concrete Jungle and If Loving You Is Wrong, among other tracks.
"I'm really ready to show off my music this year," he said. "You can look out for a lot from me this year - appearances, new music, it's all coming in 2019."
